The TPA Action Roundtable is designed as an independent forum for owners and partners of the top 25 or 30 retirement plan Third Party Administration firms to address shared issues, major challenges, opportunities for enhancement, emerging industry trends and other topics of interest. The Roundtable meets twice a year for Informal discussions organized around topics suggested in the registration process.  If a need for an industry initiative emerges in discussion, staff develops an action plan for consideration by supporting service providers and investment platforms.

The roundtable will focus on four core activities:

  • Ideation and Innovation – generating out-of-the-box concepts
  • PR Advocacy – promoting the TPA profession
  • Practice Management Enhancement
  • Talent Management Support – increasing efficiency or effectiveness

Depending on interests of the membership, the the roundtable will also undertake activities such as:

  • Credentialing – communicating the prestige / recognition associated with membership
  • Government affairs – sharing opinions with regulators
  • Talent acquisition support – finding new sources of recruits
  • Fundamental research and development – testing concepts and theories
  • Developing professional standards of practice
  • Goodwill - public service to the plan sponsor or adviser community


Membership is by nomination. The invitation is extended to owners and partners (owners and partners only) of 25 Retirement Plan TPA firms that meet specific criteria. Membership is limited to TPA firms with: 

  • 1000 or more client plans (or 500 larger plans for TPAs focused on the larger plans market)
  • Over 25 staff
  • 10+ years in the business
  • Active participation in industry organizations
  • CEFEX certification or membership in the leaders advisory group of a major platform
  • Distributed across the United States, with an eye to limit regional market overlap

Founding Meeting Objective

At the founding meeting, attending TPA firm owners and partners will discuss issues of interest to the group with the objective of enhancing business practices, efficiency, capacity, and quality. The group will also identify issues that the industry needs to address to support the growth of the profession, recommend solutions to address these issues, and discuss next steps in the development of the TPA Action Roundtable to fulfill its mission

Cancellation Policy
EACH Enterprise, LLC will refund your entire meeting fee if you cancel on or before January 31, 2017.  For cancellations between  February 1, 2017 and February 27, 2017, EACH Enterprise, LLC will refund your registration fee minus an administration fee of $175.  No refunds for cancellations after March 1, 2017.  In the unlikely event that the number of registered attendees falls short of expectations, EACH Enterprise, LLC will refund the entire registration fee.
