2016 Annual Meeting of the Strategic Account Management Roundtable
Life After The U.S. DOL "Conflict of Interest" Rule
May 4/5, 2016
Chicopee, MA
Hosted by: MassMutual Financial Group
For many retirement plan service providers, after the U.S. Department issues its final "conflict of interest" rule, life will forever change. Managing the block of existing accounts across business lines (retirement, Health Savings Accounts, group life insurance, group disability insurance, managed dental plans, healthcare, non-qualified deferred compensation, equity compensation, benefit exchanges, and even personal lines), growing the block strategically - will be the focus of business. Perhaps some firms will emphasize external growth and acquisition but giving clients a cohesive brand experience will be the emphasis for many. Are you so sure your service model is right for this time and place in the retirement plans market? Think again and attend the Strategic Account Management Roundtable so you check if your hunch is correct, strategize with other firms on the direction the function can take.
Think of the 2016 edition of the roundtable as a PR & Promotion planning meeting focused on the strategic account management function. The meeting will be entirely dedicated to the writing of a position on the strategic direction of the retirement plans business at this inflection point. Parts of our collective thinking will be published in the form of three blog posts distributed via LinkedIn and Twitter, recognizing all roundtable attendees - contributors to the posts. This is a bandwagon on which you must join.
Your firm will benefit of our collective understanding how your value proposition compares to your friend and neighbor’s. Not two service packages are alike – every company does the best job it can to meet the needs of its own target market in a sustainable package. How does your bundle compare to that of other firms in your target markets? Are you attracting the segment to which you need to appeal to remain profitable?
You must attend the Strategic Account Management Roundtable to make your time and effort pay off in the ever-changing retirement plan market. Your peers look at the world from a different perspective and reach altogether different decisions. Understanding why or how your peers make their business decisions helps you assess if yours are the right choices given your unique circumstances.
